We want to build a steam/shower room in our home, my husband finds benefit for stress/pain management. We usually pay to use them in spas. Where do we start? Is there a DIY book you recommend, we wil be building it ourselves.

Hello. I am wondering if natural slate is a good or bad choice for a steam room. It breaks down so i envision the moisture making it worse. Would that be true?

I recently had the framed door to a steam shower with a frameless 3/8" thick door. 24"wide x 75"tall. Is there any reason I should have used thicker glass or not?

I would advise you to go by the rating/capacity of the generator manufacturer. You'll find differences there as well, but their numbers are more accurately determined. I've never heard of the formula "3 KW per 150 cubic feet" before, and would not use that ratio when designing a room. I have a 6KW generator in a 140 cubic feet, and can't imagine anything smaller for that size.

Which of your archives addresses the install on the small steam shower photographed above. I love it and want to do the same thing in our master. Please let me know how I can get more information to replicate.

Hi,

I recently started an env. sustainability company in Waterloo Region (Ontario, Canada) and I was wondering if you would be so kind; to provide a brief market analysis of steam showers available in the inter-continental marketplace (NA). Brands (Eago, Kohler, Ameristand)

Prices, materials used, H2O consumption, maintenance and backlog on repairs, etc.
